Position Overview:

Champs Coffee Shop is seeking a friendly, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Barista. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and thrives in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and Serve Beverages: Skillfully craft a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to customer preferences, ensuring quality and consistency with each order.

2. Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, take accurate orders, and address any questions or concerns promptly and courteously.

3. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized at all times, including brewing equipment, countertops, and seating areas. Adhere to health and safety regulations.

4. Handle Transactions: Accurately process customer payments using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

5. Promote Products: Educate customers about our coffee offerings, promotions, and merchandise to enhance their overall experience and drive sales.

6. Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations, assist with stocking supplies, and support fellow staff during peak hours.

7. Follow Procedures: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and recipes for preparing beverages and food items to maintain consistency and quality standards.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash handling.

- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and coffee origins.
