Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Provide instruction in various subjects, such as math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Incorporate Christian counseling principles into classroom instruction
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom community
- Manage student behavior and enforce discipline when necessary
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and events
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and educational theories
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
- Ability to provide tutoring or additional support to students as needed
- Experience in sports coaching, theater, or other extracurricular activities is a plus
- Familiarity with early childhood education or daycare practices is beneficial
- Previous experience in babysitting or working with children outside of a school setting is advantageous
