Hey recent college grads - Looking to keep the fun alive post-graduation?
At Champaign Gymnastics Academy (CGA), we're on the lookout for a Men's Competitive Team Coach to join our vibrant and dynamic team. If you're all about keeping the good times rolling, while continuing your involvement with gymnastics, this is the gig for you!
Worried about making big life decisions right out of college? Don't sweat it! This position asks for only a one-year commitment, giving you the chance to remain involved in gymnastics and explore a new community, gym, and environment without the pressure of a long-term commitment.
About CGA
We are a community-focused gym that prioritizes creating an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment. We pride ourselves on empowering athletes and coaches to strive for excellence while fostering meaningful connections and personal growth. At CGA, we believe in nurturing not only athletic ability but also character and grit. An equitable and collaborative relationship between our competitive and recreational programs ensures the opportunity for every child at CGA to reach their individualized potential.
CGA is nestled in the heart of Champaign and our town isn't just a place on the map; it's a whole vibe. There’s amazing food, multiple breweries, eclectic and diverse communities, and a buzzing student life thanks to the University of Illinois. Plus we’re centrally located between Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.
Your Role at CGA
As a Men's Competitive Team Coach, you’ll be given the opportunity to work with Levels 3-10 depending on your experience. Additional roles at the gym including program development, lesson planning, rec coaching, and special events will be available to the right candidates.
What We're Looking For
Competitive gymnastics experience is ideal, and any level background is encouraged to apply especially if you have a passion for coaching.
Ideally candidates will have experience competing or coaching at Levels 9-10.
CGA’s Men’s Program
Our owner takes a special interest in men's gymnastics, fostering a passion for it in young gymnasts and keeping the sport alive in Central Illinois. Champaign is home to one of the few remaining collegiate men’s gymnastics programs in the US, and CGA is doing it’s part to keep that legacy alive.
At CGA, we believe in a laid-back atmosphere where we value accountability and hard work, but don't take life too seriously. Teach exceptional gymnastics, be a team player, work hard, and have fun.
