Chalco Hills Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team! We are a well-respected (and well-rated!) small animal hospital that has proudly served our Omaha, NE, community for years.

We are open to hiring full-time or part-time and the ideal candidate would be open to cross-training as a Veterinary Assistant in the future. We would like to find someone outgoing, with previous Customer Service or Veterinary experience. Individuals with 1 years of prior veterinary experience and excellent communication skills are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time or part-time role comprised of 4 shifts (M/F 7:30-7, T/TH 7:30-5).

Requirements:

• 1 years of current, hands-on veterinary experience
• Takes pride in being punctual, dependable, and reliable
• Self-starters who take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Experience with Cornerstone is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As our next receptionist, you will be critical to our hospital team by establishing a great first impression to clients, providing visitors a warm welcome, and ensuring our day-to-day hospital flow runs smoothly. Those best fit for the role are positive, compassionate, and proactive individuals who love making a difference in the lives of pets and establishing long-term relationships with their owners.

Primary skills and responsibilities:

• Providing first class client communication and education
• Booking appointments
• Daily assignments/scheduling
• Checking clients in and out
• Answering client questions and concerns
• Monitoring email and phone correspondence
• Scanning, copying, typing/other general office duties
• Ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is always clean and presentable
• Liaising between clients and technical team
