We are currently seeking a Surveyor to join our Survey & SUE Team at our Norwell, MA office location.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's comprehensive approach to survey work and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project. We are focused on the use of advanced measurement technology to improve our process and results. Our robust quality assurance/quality control processes result in accurate and precise work.

The Surveyor is responsible for collecting and handling data, and willl utilize various geospatial and CADD software program to process the data and complete boundary calculations, generate digital terrain models/contours, and prepare finished mapping products. This individual will need to understand the various QC steps to be taken when preparing a survey plan or document and will need to be proactive in developing their own self checking methods. The Surveyor will be familiar with applications of the field survey operations, types of surveys, survey field equipment, and procedures used to collect data.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • LSIT preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is required
  • AutoCAD design software is required, MicroStation & Inroads software is preferred
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Demonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industry
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditions
  • Ability to travel short-term is preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions required
  • Ability to represent him/herself and the company in a professional manner to the general public
  • Valid US driver’s license required
