CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an ITS IT Specialist to join our Transportation – Traffic ITS Team at our office in Miami FL. There will be some required travel (~10% of the time to a client site).

YOUR IMPACT

CHA’s Traffic and ITS team provides planning, analysis, modeling, and design development for public and private sector clients. Our team of traffic engineers, transportation planners, and technical staff provide a comprehensive breadth of knowledge and experience in all facets of modal mobility, accessibility, safety, technology, and deployment. From roadside sign inventories and safety audits to the latest intelligent transportation system (ITS) innovations and applications, our professionals are adept at managing the entire design development and implementation process.

The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, managing and analyzing data for use in cost estimating applications and reports. This individual will work with clients to gather user requirements and develop reports as needed using Microsoft Power BI. This individual will also assist with automating and improving data quality and data flow in Microsoft Excel and MS Access applications using formulas, macros and VBA procedures. The Data Analyst will collaborate on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client requirements and will have effective and clear communications while interfacing with clients, business partners, management and colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or related field required
• Minimum two (2) years professional experience developing reports and analyzing data in a Microsoft environment required
• Experience designing reports with Power BI required
• Familiarity with MS Access and Excel required
• Experience working with network diagrams, cloud services, authentications, C , evaluating tech devices, creating integration softward, networking, and architecture diagrams required
• Experience with SQL Scripting preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as the ability to work independently when needed
• Effective with self-checking and error elimination techniques
• Experience with project cost estimating a plus
• Experience with electric transmission and distribution systems a plus
• Familiarity with Timberline Software a plus
