SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist I is responsible for accounting duties. The Accounting Specialist I performs other accounting duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Process accounts payable.
• Process invoices.
• Process deposits.
• Perform general accounting duties to accurately record accounting transactions.
• Assist with sales tax reporting.
• Assist with projects, as assigned.
• Keep workstation clean and assist with general office housekeeping.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

· Detail oriented.

· Able to follow directions.

· Possess basic computer skills.

· Able to communicate effectively.

· Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

· Comfortable working in a loud, distracting environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Accounting Degree preferred; basic accounting courses required.
