Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a ISSM to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures for operating systems, networks, and applications within an organization. The ISSM is responsible for identifying security risks, developing security policies, managing security incidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Develop and implement strategies for designing, testing, and implementing secure operating systems, networks, and applications.
•Lead a team of security professionals, providing guidance and leadership to ensure effective security measures.
•Identify and assess security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across networks, systems, and applications.
•Design, test, and operate firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus solutions to protect against security breaches.
•Respond to security incidents, including unauthorized access attempts and virus infections, by initiating corrective actions.
•Oversee user access controls and enforce information security policies to maintain system integrity.
•Conduct technical assessments and provide support to evaluate security policies and guidelines.
•Develop, enforce, and communicate security policies and plans for data, applications, and hardware.
•Evaluate and recommend security tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance enterprise security posture.
•Collaborate with Change, Problem, and Release Management teams to address security impacts.
•Review and validate security solutions designs and specifications.
•Stay updated with security trends and technologies, advising senior management on potential implications.
•Provide recommendations to project management and serve as a liaison between departments for security matters.
•Present recommendations to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) as required.
•Identify and analyze machine data and logs for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) analysis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
CISSP, Security , or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in information security.
Strong knowledge of industry security policies, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., NIST, FISMA, SANS).
Experience with network, host, data, and application security across multiple operating systems.
Familiarity with security architecture, change management processes, and project management.
Proficiency in IP networking, security technologies, and protocols.
Experience with firewall, network scanning, and intrusion detection technologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 - $165,000
