Cetera Financial Group is looking for an Advisory Operations Leader supporting our Advisory Service team in Des Moines, IA who will be responsible for providing back office operational support to these Financial Professionals via our advisory platform systems. This is an exciting role to join our team to lead a team and provide solutions support to multiple advisory programs in a fast-paced environment and world class red-carpet service to our clients.

What you will do:

• Understand advisors, their staff, and their advisory business.
• Lead a team that owns the operational process for advisory business regarding New Accounts and Account Maintenance.
• Help Advisors navigate multiple platforms, most importantly My Advice Architect (Envestnet) covering for topics such as the new account opening, trading and servicing accounts.
• Work with our Advisory Platform vendor – Envestnet and have familiarity of Brokerage and/or Advisory products.
• Understanding of the New Account Onboarding Process at the custodian – mainly Netx360
• Understanding of the Proposal System: Generation, Promotion and completion of the proposal
• Familiarity with Envestnet, Netx360, Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint)
• Work closely with other teams across the organization to achieve win-win outcomes for our Advisors. This will include the Brokerage Operations, Supervision/Compliance, technology, Advisory Billing & Reporting Team, Investment Solutions Group, and Advisor Support groups (Resource Center).
• Ability to manage escalated items that need leadership intervention.
• Capability to exercise significant discretion and independent judgment by formulating and implementing management policies and operating practices.
• Report outs of key Advisory Platform system related metrics
• Processing Queues metrics
• Capacity & Efficiency Metrics
• Knowledge Metrics
• Provide coaching to Professional Operations Associates on processing quality, handling difficult cases, career growth, etc.

What you need to have:

• 5 years experience in the financial investment services industry, preferably with an RIA or Broker-Dealer in the capacity of operations such as New Account setup, Asset Movement, Advisory Proposal Generation / Review
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Securities licenses 99 (Series 6, 7, 63/65, 66 helpful)
• Strong communication skills to work with advisors, vendors, and internal teams

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
