CETECHS is Hiring a Certified Medical Assistant Near Tracy, CA

Occupational Health Nurses

Cetechs, a Service-Disabled Veteran owned company is seeking an Certified Medical Assistants Medical Assistants to assist in performing clinical medical services in support of the Occupational Health Clinic on DLA Distribution, San Joaquin (DDJC). Clinic hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, excluding currently observed Federal Holidays. 

Note: DDJC Occupational Health Clinic is not a primary care facility. The clinic's primary function is to provide occupational health services such as job related physical, pre-employment physicals, fit for duty evaluation, immunizations in accordance with DOD/DLA Regulation/Instructions, OPM Classification and Qualification Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, as well as first aid work-related medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses.

Occupational Health Nurses duties include but are not limited to:

  • supporting the Occupational Health Clinician with the following tasks: scheduling exams, rooming patients, conducting routine tests and procedures, phlebotomy, providing minor first aid, dispensing medications, administering immunizations, maintaining medical records.
  • participating in health and wellness programs.
  • fitting Government personnel with earplugs and/or instructing Government personnel on use of hearing protection.
  • inputting work related injury/illness information into provided database, maintaining provided statistical database, inputting and maintaining provided medical surveillance database.
  • performing clerical duties.

Requirements

  • The medical assistant shall be certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants and certified in phlebotomy by the Department of Health Services of California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in occupational medicine (e.g., assisting clinician with exams, taking medical histories, minor first aid, deployable and emergency services required immunizations, medical screenings, participating in wellness programs).
  • Shall have a working knowledge of Federal OSHA Code pf Federal and be proficient in database systems such as Microsoft Access
  • Shall maintain the following certifications as current at all times:
    • Audiometry from the Council of Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.
    • Pulmonary Function from a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved training course.
    • Phlebotomy from Department of Health Services of California (CDHS)
This position requires the successful completion of a Federal Government Background Check. Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
