Job Summary: The Packaging Designer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative, high-quality packaging solutions for the company's nail care products. This role will act as a bridge to communicate with factories and manufacturers in China, serving as the primary point of contact. The ideal candidate will be native or fluent in the Chinese language and have hands-on experience working directly with factories and manufacturers in China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design packaging concepts and prototypes that enhance the brand image and meet functional requirements
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. product development, marketing) to understand requirements and translate them into effective packaging designs
• Manage the packaging development process from initial design through production, ensuring designs are executed according to specifications
• Serve as the primary point of contact for factories and manufacturers in China, communicating requirements, providing feedback, and troubleshooting issues
• Leverage your fluency in Chinese to liaise with overseas partners, build strong relationships, and facilitate smooth communication and coordination
• Monitor packaging production quality, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
• Stay up-to-date with packaging trends, technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the company's packaging

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in packaging design, ideally for the cosmetics/beauty industry
• Native fluency or equivalent proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin)
• Proven track record of successfully collaborating with overseas manufacturing partners in China
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Familiarity with packaging materials, production processes, and regulatory requirements
