Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Location: Mundelein, IL
The Financial Reporting Accountant position will work closely with our other accountants, the Accounting Manager and partner with designated operations personnel to help them find ways to improve their business. The role will focus on the integrity of statutory/GAAP compliant financial data through the establishment of effective internal accounting controls, and documentation of policies and procedures. The Financial Reporting Accountant will facilitate the delivery of increasingly automated financial reports and metrics, ensure robust auditable account reconciliations, support interim and year-end audit preparation, taxes, statutory/GAAP research, and other projects as assigned.
Financial Reporting Accountant will partner with business unit management to support them with relevant financial analysis investigations, business variance identification, root cause analysis, business forecasting and contribution to the annual financial plan.
Requirements
General Accounting and Reporting
· Bank/Cash Reconciliations
· Daily Sales Reporting
· Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
· Produce daily, monthly, and annual internal, external and lender compliance financial reports that are timely and accurate,
· Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
· Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
· Substantiates financial transactions by preparing account reconciliation documents.
· Supply information for the interim and annual audit process and tax preparation.
· Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures and researching emerging accounting statutory/GAAP issues that relate to the company.
· Prepares monthly salesperson commission calculations,
· Prepares and files tax compliance, business registration, licenses and governmental reports as required. Monitor and support taxation requirements.
· Key participant in the automation of published metrics and financial reports.
Business Support
· Collaborates with business users to define process requirements and create and customize financial reporting according to business needs.
· Work is highly independent and may assume a lead role as well as collaborative role in work groups.
· Support the execution of the annual Plan process and forecasting process as needed.

Technical Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
§ Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience researching and documenting adopted positions a plus.
§ Public accounting experience a plus.
§ Demonstrated ability producing high quality timely results with exceptional attention to detail.
§ Manufacturing and/or distribution experience a plus.
§ Advanced skills in MS Excel, and proficient skills is Word, and PowerPoint.
