HOTEL SALES COORDINATOR

Hilton Garden Inn Starkville seeks a qualified Hotel Sales Coordinator with a high level of professionalism and effective decision making.

Applicant must have strong interpersonal and administrative skills.

Key Requirements:

A hotel sales coordinator assists clients in booking hotel meeting and event spaces, supporting the efforts of the team within the department as well as providing services directly to the client. The coordinator also works with various hotel departments, as well as with outside vendors, to ensure that events and meetings run smoothly.

Job Description

Many hotels offer more than just sleeping rooms: They also offer meeting and banquet rooms that are often rented to outside groups holding meetings, conventions and other special events. Hotel sales coordinators work within a hotel's marketing and events department, supporting and coordinating the booking of hotel facilities.

Job Responsibilites

• Coordinating client needs and client events.
• Maintaining account and event files.
• May assist in selling guestrooms, meeting spaces and/or additional services.
• May assist in servicing meeting needs if needed.
• Coordinating and Communicating hotel site inspections and guest stayovers.
• Assisting Sales Managers with soliciting new and repeat business.
• Maintaining daily organization of office files
• Assisting in preparation of proposals, contracts, appointments, hotel tours, pre/post event reports, BEOs, and other necessary account paperwork.
• Attending revenue, sales and operation meetings.
• Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
• Proactively identifies operational challenges and works with the hotel staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.
• Advises sales staff as to ability to accommodate client demands and requirements, fit of available space. Assist sales staff in promoting hotel, developing leads and securing re-bookings.
• Access and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
