Our clients range in size from locally-owned small businesses to the largest retailers in America, many of which have relied on us for over fifty years to provide check verification and warranty services, Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment solutions, and risk management expertise.
We are looking for a Risk Analyst to partner with our customers to determine and implement risk controls based on customer needs and payment activity. This position will analyze large sets of data to identify trends and provide actionable insight and reporting to customers and Certegy coworkers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Own and manage multiple clients, ensuring targeted profitability for the organization.
- Utilize statistical analysis methods on various data sets, identifying trends and relationships.
- Analyze and propose risk control strategies, fraud detection and prevention based on the data analysis.
- Implement, modify, and test risk control strategies to achieve targeted key metrics ensuring success.
- Monitor and forecast client performance based on the risk control strategy such as acceptance and loss rates.
- Communicate performance trends to management personnel and clients as appropriate.
- Communicate fraud trends, share best practices and ideas with peers and management.
- Collaborate with the Fraud team to recognize fraud patterns possibly leading to new methods of detection, mitigation, and prevention.
- Develop and maintain a strong familiarity with all data tools and processes while identifying opportunities for possible systems enhancements.
Skills & Specifications
- Proactive self-starter who is eager to seek solutions to problems.
- Strong analytical, statistical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
- Experience in the payments industry (e.g., ACH, Credit Card, fraud, underwriting, risk) in analytical roles is strongly preferred.
- Experience and proficiency utilizing technology to query and analyze large data sets. Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and clients in written and verbal formats.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
- A high degree of flexibility, ability to work in self-directed and team environments, and ability to interact on a variety of personal and professional levels.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-3 years of financial analysis experience preferred
