Cerelia Bakery Canada LP is Hiring a Purchasing and Preventive Maintenance Coordinator Near Whitehall, OH

Position Summary
The Purchasing & Preventative Maint. Coordinator is responsible to maintain overall shop productivity by management, stocking, and maintenance of an organized and efficient parts room. Implement and maintain maintenance CMMS software, track and report weekly KPI’s, downtime, lost time and up time. Utilize maintenance CMMS software to efficiently track min/max inventory levels and upcoming inventory needs. Maintain maintenance annual budget by working with contractors and suppliers to minimize maintenance inventory and contractor costs.  
Primary Responsibilities
This list is not all inclusive, other duties assigned as necessary by management.MRO Buyer Functions
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
  • Track and report weekly maintenance KPI’s, spend and budgetary reports.
  • Negotiate supply costs and close deals with optimal terms
  • Operate and maintain Maintenance CMMS systems
  • Issue parts to all departments from stock room, and/or monitor the issuance log for any MRO parts from the storeroom. Update SAP for such issuance noted in the log on a routine basis.
  • Monitor and initiate the ordering for all MRO stock parts according to set min/max levels. Ensure proper authorization for the processing of orders for any MRO stock parts that fall outside of the min/max levels. Monitor the delivery status of all MRO stock parts.
  • Keep stockroom clean, neat, and well organized at all times.
  • Setup new contacts with suppliers and contractors to ensure the best parts at the best price.
  • Organizes, updates, and retains supplier and product information files and purchase order records to ensure compliance.
  • Research and follow up on questionable invoices and packing slips when assistance is requested by accounting. Communicate any supplier MRO order discrepancies and work to resolve with necessary parties.
  • Prepares MRO purchase orders through a computerized system and places orders for the purchase of goods and services in a timely manner. Print, fax or email POs to suppliers.
Quality Assurance 
  • Ensure maintenance parts and supply areas are always maintained and clean
Health and Safety 
  • Ensure that teams use safe work practices and that safe working conditions exist.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
 
Requirements
Education and/ or Experience: 
  • H.S. diploma required.
  • 2-3 years industrial MRO purchasing required, food industry is a plus
  • Degree or certifications in a maintenance related field preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Understanding of food safety practices in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, outlook and CMMS system to plan and close work orders)

  • Demonstrated expertise in handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work long shifts of 10 hours or more, including days or nights, and some weekends.
