Duration of Role: 1 years

Pay: $45.5 - $48.75 / hourly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and validate 1D chemical kinetic models for relevant aftertreatment components such as Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Ammonia Oxidation Catalyst (AOC), DOC catalyzed DPF (DOCF), etc.

· Initiate, plan, coordinate and perform analysis projects using 1D aftertreatment models and other supporting models to investigate current and future emissions reduction techniques

· Maintain an understanding of aftertreatment devices and emission reduction strategies for diesel and alternative fuel engines

· Provide well thought out documentation on analysis process, results, and setup procedures, ensure consistent and high-quality models to support deployment

· Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) or equivalent related work experience.

REQUIRED:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· 1 or more years of experience working with aftertreatment and/or engine system components

· 1 or more years of experience in engineering analysis

· Fundamental understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, chemistry reaction and computer programming

DESIRED:

· Experience in 1D aftertreatment component and system modeling

· Industrial experience in heavy duty diesel engines, emissions, and aftertreatment

· Master of Science engineering degree or higher

· Knowledge of GT-Suite and Simulink

· Experience in engine performance development, testing and simulation
