Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialization in Psychiatric - Pediatric / Behavioral Health - Mental Health to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in accordance with the nursing process, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the patients. The key responsibilities include:
  • Assessing the care needs of patients and developing individualized care plans
  • Coordinating and providing nursing care to individuals and groups of patients
  • Assisting in the teaching of patients and their families and providing milieu management
  • Communicating with and educating patients' families/significant others in discharge/after-care planning needs
  • Creating a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
  • Documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures
  • Monitoring for and reporting any potential risks to patients' safety
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care
  • Functioning as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments, and promoting staff development
  • Utilizing and promoting the careful use of resources
  • Supporting and promoting a recovery-focused environment and person-centered approach
  • Upholding the organization's mission and values through professional excellence
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with specialization in Psychiatric - Pediatric / Behavioral Health - Mental Health
  • Experience in providing nursing care in diverse clinical settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals
