Role and Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance/Point of Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the point of care testing activities. Your primary duties will include:

  • Understanding and adhering to the company's performance standards, policies, and behaviors.
  • Overseeing point of care operation, testing, and validation.
  • Implementing quality assurance and proficiency testing programs.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the operationality of the point of care instrument interface.
  • Performing dictionary maintenance on the point of care interface.
  • Serving as a liaison between the laboratory and nursing leadership to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Reviewing point of care reports and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assisting with staff training as required.
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • New York State Medical Technologist license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science.
  • ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
