Company OverviewCephas Consultancy Services Private Limited operates in the marketing-and-advertising industry.
Role And ResponsibilitiesThe Scrub Technician will be responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. They must have a thorough understanding of the procedures being performed, anticipate the needs of the surgeons, and maintain sterile techniques. The technician will also perform nursing procedures as per company policy, check supplies and equipment prior to surgical procedures, assist intra-operatively, handle specimens appropriately, prepare instruments for decontamination, assist with preparing/picking OR cases, and follow company policies and procedures for infection control and fire code. They should also identify malfunctioning equipment, follow patient safety standards, respond appropriately in emergency situations, complete competency requirements, attend mandatory in-services, and utilize cost containment practices. Additionally, they must complete 15 hours of Continuing Education Credits as required by law.
Candidate QualificationsThe candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, graduate from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program and hold and maintain CST certification, complete a military surgical technology program, be grandfathered, or be in the service of the federal government. Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred, and certification by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization is required. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is also required.
