Century West Engineering, a civil consulting firm, has opportunities for full-time, seasonal construction inspectors with two or more years of experience in an engineering inspection position in the field of municipal road/utilities work and/or aviation related construction work. Inspectors will report to senior staff in our Spokane, Oregon office but may work on projects statewide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Acts as an inspector for construction projects to ensure conformance to standards including:

• Making computations and field notes of distances, elevations, and angles
• Making and checking quantity estimates
• Making technical observations
• Observing and recording results of inspections

May participate in the preparation of engineering and planning maps, drawings, and exhibits

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in an engineering inspection position
• Experience inspecting municipal transportation and utilities projects during construction
• Can read and understand engineering plans and specifications
• Previous experience on airport projects is preferred but not required

Benefits:

• Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of 1.33 (1 1/3) hours per 40 hours worked
