Description

The Associate Medical Director (PA Staffing) is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the clinical services provided within the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections correctional institutions as well as for serving as a resource to the contractor’s medical staff to provide comprehensive medical consultation and direction as needed. The Assistant Medical Director evaluates the medical care provided and delivers recommendations and direction to ensure quality medical care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
• Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain licensure required
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Leadership/directorship experience preferred
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
