Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Telehealth Coordinator / Medical Assistant to join our team at Homestead Correctional Institution located in Florida City, Florida .
Responsibilities:The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
Qualifications:- Florida Medical Assistant license/certification
- Current CPR
- Corrections experience preferred, not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
