Description

Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide.

We are currently seeking a Director of Operations to join our team located in our Regional Office located in Boise, Idaho.

The Director of Operations will assist the Vice President of Operations in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of statewide contract. Works closely with the Contract regional operational and clinical leaders, contract Vice President of Operations IDOC to ensure the general health care program meets the contractual program requirements. Assists the Vice President of Operations in ensuring that Centurion meets all contractual requirements and provides services within the highest standards of quality and in support of the MODOC’s goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to assigned IDDOC Regional and Statewide Leaders.
  • Ensure operational compliance with contract requirements.
  • Perform the duties of Acting VPO in the absence of the VPO during periods of leave.
  • Ensure Centurion meets all contractual requirements as liaison to client in collaboration with VPO.
  • Participates in status meetings with the IDDOC staff.
  • Ensure attendance by appropriate Centurion staff to required IDDOC meetings.
  • Assist and inform the Vice President of Operations in monitoring all Company related health programs and outpatient services, ensuring appropriate staff assignments and performance, identifying backlogs or other operational problems, and results of issues and/or actions taken.
  • Assist Vice President of Operations with recruitment/hiring staff and new hire orientation, and provide feedback on staff performance management.
  • Consult with IDDOC staff on specific treatments and overall care, program evaluation and improvement, and development and implementation of program enhancements.
  • Participates in regional, corporate, and care review meetings related to the IDDOC program.
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of treatment and administrative procedures and outcomes.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns of contract and site correctional administration.
  • Assist in program monitoring and assessing program compliance.
  • Assists Vice President of Operations in ensuring compliance with all facility and Company policies, Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Understand and comply with safety and security rules and regulations of the institution.


Qualifications


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field; degree in Health or Social Sciences with required management background will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (Bachelor’s degree holder) or 2 years’ experience (Graduate degree holder) in high level contract administration and program management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience overseeing/coordinating the work of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing financial, staffing and operational oversight of a program.
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with regional, corporate, IDDOC client and institutional administration staff.
  • Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
  • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain/maintain agency security clearance where applicable.
  • Must submit to and pass drug testing per agency requirements where applicable.
  • Personal computer skills including software such as Microsoft Office (including Excel).
  • Experience working in/with Electronic Medical Records and with timekeeping and staffing products.
