Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. We have partnered with Sondhi Solutions as our subcontractor for dental services.
We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time opportunity at Indiana Women's Prison located in Indianapolis, Indiana and Edinburgh Correctional Facility in Edinburgh, Indiana.
This is a 40 hour per week position, requiring 30 hours per week at Indiana Women's Prison and 10 hours per week at Edinburgh Correctional Facility. Mileage Reimbursement included for travel to Edinburgh Correctional.
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties:
• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Certification in Dental Radiology required
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift: full-time days, 40 hours per week with hours split 30 hours per week at Indiana Women's Prison and 10 hours per week at Edinburgh Correctional Facility.
