• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
• Develops maintenance procedures and schedules
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Perform work order repairs as assigned. Includerepairing broken locks, cabinetry repairs, sheetrock repair, plumbing repairs, etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Install appliances and equipment
• Conduct unit inspections
• Responsible for Maintenance inventory
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g.ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g.fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers)
• Collaborate with vendors and other professionals conducting work on-site

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ​Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) Certification -HighlyPreferred
• Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or other similar position required
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• HVAC certification highly preferred
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read basic technical manuals
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
