Job Summary:

The lead is responsible for Breaking Room operations, Tanker Bay operations, and assisting in some Transfer Room activities. The Breaking Room Lead will have lead responsibilities throughout the plant and be a key leader in plant operations. This will require the employee to know all the positions in the plant in order to train, coach, and direct staff on all positions. Maintaining Breaking Room operations and running product to the tanker schedule will be a key part of their job.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for Breaker Room operations.
• Perform, monitor, and document hourly quality checks.
• Morning equipment set up and end of run wash down of the Breaking Room.
• Running product to tanker schedule and customer specifications.
  • Work with Transfer Lead on what is needed to complete customer loads.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot CIPs.
• Ensure equipment, parts, and supplies are cleaned prior to quality inspections.
• Fill in at all positions in the plant with priority on Tanker Bay Loader.
• Train, Coach, and Direct employees.
• Work closely with other departments and create a One-Team environment.
• Effectively communicate and work with USDA on site inspector, management, and quality control teams.
• Value your safety and the safety of your co-workers by following safety rules and policies as well as enforce these rules and policies.
• Help other team members as needed.
• Perform all other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• 2 Years of leadership experience.
• 2 Years Food Processing or equivalent experience.
• Work in fast pace environment and manage multiple tasks at one time
• Work independently and prioritize tasks to meet schedule
• Good Communication (Written / Verbal) skills, organized, goal oriented, accountable.
• Must be able to drive a shag truck and back in trailers
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in high stress environment.
• Agile – able to twist and bend and lift above head, able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, and standing for long periods.

• Bilingual – Spanish and English
