Right now, we're looking for a Teacher Assistant to become a crucial part of our team. In this role, you will : Collaborate with our Preschool Teacher to manage classroom activities in line with Head Start Performance Standards, early childhood best practices, and our School Readiness Goals.

Prioritize the safety, health, and active engagement of our young learners in various educational activities. Ensure strict compliance with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) regulations during mealtimes.

Maintain accurate records of meal counts and attendance. Demonstrate proficiency in executing emergency evacuation procedures.

Observe and document children's daily development. Utilize an assigned curriculum and child observations to craft a daily, tailored program that supports children's physical, social / emotional, cognitive, and language growth.

Assist the Preschool Teacher in planning and conducting learning activities for children with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Plans.

Step in to fulfill the Preschool Teacher's responsibilities when they are unavailable. The ideal candidate will have : A current Preschool CDA (Childhood Development Associate) or a written plan to earn one within the first six months or an associate / bachelor’s degree in early childhood education / child development or a related field within two years from the date of hire.

Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. This role involves physical capabilities, including extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, lifting / moving up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to sit on the floor, crawl, run, and perform various activities associated with preschool care.
