Job Title: Production Planner Location: Dumas, ARReports to: General Manager Department: OperationsGeneral Purpose of the Position: The Production Scheduler is responsible for accurate preparation of manufacturing instruction sheets/routers, raw material allocations, manufacturing data files, and entry of the manufacturing instructions sheets/routers in the scheduling system. Maintain electronic & hard copy filing of relevant manufacturing generated documentation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare daily production schedulesIssue all work orders per production scheduleCreate manufacturing instruction sheets / routers, allocate raw material, enter the MIS data into the scheduling systemCompile worksheets and specifications of ordersMaintain data files of open orders and future resource requirements.Monitor future requirements versus known capacities bringing potential imbalances to management attentionParticipate with material requirement planningAssist with cycle countingEnsure integrity of data entryWork with supervisors / team leaders to coordinate operations and activities with and between departmentsConstantly look for improvements and help implement solutionsParticipate in annual inventoryCreate forms and documents in MS Excel / MS WordAssist with sales activities as neededOther duties as assigned Position Requirements High school graduate or equivalent requiredPrevious production scheduling and inventory control experience preferred, other related experience in an industrial setting will be consideredExcellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Experience with MRP/ERP system preferredAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionStrong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organizationCompetencies:High level of accuracyDetail/results orientedAnalytical thinkerStrong problem identification, reasoning ability and problem resolutionClear and concise communication skills (verbal and written)Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsCustomer focusExcellent time management skillsStrong work ethic and positive team attitude
