We are a Door, Frame, and Hardware company looking for a motivated and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the overall operations of our shop. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn new skills. The Shop Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in the shop, including warehouse organization, using hand tools and various equipment, operating a forklift, and assisting with projects in the Metal Shop and Wood Shop. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all safety protocols, and contribute to a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a shop or warehouse setting, familiarity with hand tools and power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge. The ability to read technical drawings is also important for this role. Experience operating a forklift is a plus.

Duties:
- Assist with various tasks in the shop, including but not limited to:
- Warehouse organization and inventory management
- Using hand tools and power tools to assemble and disassemble products
- Operating a forklift to move materials and products
- Assisting with fabrication and welding projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a shop or warehouse setting preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
