Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical or dental office setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical scheduling, medical records, and providing administrative support in a healthcare environment.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments for patients and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth operations of the office
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
