POSITION: Payment Association Analyst


REPORTS TO:
Bank Relationship Manager


WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with a willingness to monitor email and other systems during nonbusiness hours in case of a critical matter. Additional hours may be occasionally required in order to meet time- sensitive deliverables and deadlines.


JOB SUMMARY:
The Payment Association Analyst is taking the lead managing oversight of card networks operations under Central Payments Platform Services team. The core functions of this position include management of network workflows including BIN installs, maintenance/renewals, bulletins, quarterly reporting and represent networks on implementations with internal teams and external vendors.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist network operations team with oversight and management of card networks – VISA, Mastercard and Discover.
  • Participate in monthly network meetings between Central Payments network team and Networks to build solid relationship to work through open projects and issues.
  • Manage oversight regarding BIN management, maintenance, renewals and assist with quarterly reporting.
  • Create a network bulletin communication strategy for Central Payments and external partners generating awareness and proper compliance is followed.
  • Assist Central Payments Accounting team with network invoices and allocations relating to network charges.
  • Work closely with Central Payments implementation teams to ensure networks and secondary networks are properly setup to allow our card programs to launch on time.

  • Applies general network knowledge, contributing to the development of new processes and the improvement of workflow for overall network management.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status-quo and deliver results on ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent judgement, analytical skills and decision making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability and desire to build relationships with others, particularly with peers at card networks and other third-party vendors.
  • Hard working, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressures.
  • An inquisitive nature to help learn about our business and to help find solutions as we grow as a company.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior financial services experience, particularly relating to consumer card products and/or network operations.
