Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our amazing team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor

- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar

- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

- Collect payments for services rendered and provide accurate invoices to clients

- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth workflow

- Provide basic information on pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive treatments

- Assist with animal handling and restraint when necessary

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is required

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff members

- Knowledge of animal husbandry, preventive veterinary care, and some basic medical knowledge preferred

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Proficient computer skills for managing appointments, client records, and invoicing

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to answer/handle at least 2 phone lines

- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals

Please note that all positions at our clinic are paid positions. We offer competitive compensation based on experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
