Central Ohio Nutrition Center is Hiring a Medical Assistant (Part Time) Near Grove, OH

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians, providers, nurses and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, documentation, and communication. They will be focused on patient experience, quality, and efficiency. They will have familiarity with patients in weight loss ranging from the OPTIFAST program, to very low calorie diet food plans. You will work closely with our Clinical Director and Lead Medical Assistant to help patients tackle their weight loss challenges. We are looking for energetic, friendly faces to take our patient experience to the next level.

Responsibilities:

    *Provide clinical support to our doctors, practitioners and registered dietitians. *Provide clinical support to the other offices to ensure exceptional patient experience *Trains new clinical staff *Leads, promotes and develops clinical quality and safety standards as well as work flow processes *Maintain clinical supplies and equipment *Clinical tasks include: *Rooming patients *Taking vital signs *Height and weight *Drawing blood for lab work *EKGs *Cleaning of exam rooms after use and preparing room for the next patient

Qualifications:

    *High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following: *School of Medical Assisting or *Completion of HS Medical Assistant Career Tech Program or *Paramedic (EMT-P) training or *Military Medic training *or 1 yr. as a physician trained MA *Advanced clinical support skill certification desired (i.e. Certified Medical Assistant, phlebotomy, EKG, etc.). *Fluency in Google Workplace Apps (or Microsoft Office Suite) *Excellent communication skills *High-level time management and organization *Strong work ethic and performance standards *An outgoing and energetic personality

Clinic hours include some evenings and weekends but can be flexible. An individualized work schedule will be determined by the candidate and the Clinical Director.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $13.00 - $21.00/hour.
