Central McGowan is now hiring an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will play an integral role in building effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our current and future Central McGowan locations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating marketing campaigns and strategies for the company. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing brand marketing strategies, monitoring brand performance, and ensuring consistency across various marketing channels, to provide insight to improve marketing campaigns as well as additional customer acquisition and retention strategies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Use eCommerce to promote the business and sell products and services through the CRM system.
  • Works closely with Leadership, defines annual marketing priorities, establishes department annual plan, collaborates, and works with other areas of the company, researches and recommends marketing programs and tools to build relationship marketing and generate new sales.
  • Oversees the development, promotion and implementation of marketing campaigns, programs, and tools.
  • Cross-functional leadership to ensure seamless collaboration between key functions in the organization.
  • Manages the ongoing process of supporting corporate marketing and sales systems.
  • Develops new marketing programs, tools and printed collateral as defined in our marketing strategy.
  • Monitors, measures, evaluates, and reports marketing and results on an ongoing basis. Establishes benchmarks, develops supporting reports, and communicates results.
  • Executes effective social media strategy for designated industries.
  • Works alongside our sales team to support Customer Engagement and additional engagement in the communities we serve.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPEREINCE:

  • 5 years of proven, relative experience, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Online eCommerce and or CRM system experience, preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry, strongly desired.
  • Proven success utilizing social channels, streaming, email, creatively to achieve organizational and marketing goals.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, trends, strategies and best practices.
  • Experience with social media advertising as well as working with related

We are a leading supplier of gases, dry ice, and state-of-the-art equipment/technology for the manufacturing, welding, medical, and food and beverage industries in the upper Midwest, and a FANUC-authorized integrator of automation/robotic solutions.   • Founded in 1965 with the merger of McGowan Welding Supply in Little Falls, MN (est. 1947) and Central Welding Supply, a small supplier of equipment and gases in St. Cloud, MN.
  • Since 2011, we’ve grown from a 55-person, 2-location welding supply company to a nearly 140-person, 7-location, diversified business we are today.
  • In 2015, expanded to include custom automation and robotics, making us one of the only local distributors who is also an integrator.
  • In 2019, acquired Jasons Beverage Carbonation Company, another successful family-owned CO2 distributor in St. Paul, MN, expanding our distribution area to include customers in Minnesota and parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
  • In 2021, acquired Fessler Carbonic Gas Company in Des Moines, IA, expanding our CO2 footprint to all of Iowa; Metro Welding Supply in Minneapolis, MN and Preferred Welder Sales in Mankato, MN to better serve our customers and most recently Preferred Welder Sales out of Mankato expanding our Southern MN footprint.
