Central Landscaping, Inc. is a highway sub-contractor that does sodding, seeding, silt fence, and erosion control work mostly in the St Pau/Minneapolis, MN metro area. We do the final work on highways to prevent erosion and enhance State, County, and City road projects. We have been in business sine 1971. We have approximately 25 employees and want to increase that number. This job opening is full time with longer hours in the summer and much less in the winter. 

As an assistant to the CEO you will undergo comprehensive training directly from the founder in anticipation of his retirement. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity for a proactive individual to elevate their career trajectory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Lead project estimation and bidding process, including understanding project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals.

Develop good relationships with contractors, inspectors, and engineers. Get projects completed on schedule and within budget.

Dispatch crews: After we are awarded a contract you'll review and look over the physical location and coordinate the work with the contractor

Supervise field crews, ensuring adherence to safety policies and quality standards throughout all project phases.

Coordinate material procurement and logistics, including arranging for delivery of materials to project sites as needed.

Coordinate needed repairs with shop personnel.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management

Prior experience in highway landscaping construction or related field is advantageous but not mandatory. We welcome motivated individuals with a strong willingness to learn.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to accommodate varying work hours, particularly during peak seasons, with the understanding that schedules may fluctuate between summer and winter months.

Good computer skills

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
