```Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent eye care services to our patients. You will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, as well as provide guidance on frame selection and lens options. ```Duties```
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements.
- Provide guidance on frame selection, lens options, and lens enhancements
- Adjust eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Perform repairs and adjustments on eyewear as needed
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions and orders
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure optimal patient care.

-Answer phones, schedule appointments and assist with other administrative duties as needed during quiet/down periods.

```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of optical systems, including lens types, coatings, and materials
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing and billing
- Ability to read and apply a variety of vision insurances.
- Excellent sales skills to effectively communicate the benefits of different eyewear options
- Understanding of optical physiology and eye anatomy
- Ability to perform insert and removal of contact lenses
