We are currently looking to add a full time dispatcher to our growing team. As a full time dispatcher you will receive calls from law enforcement, insurance, and private customers for towing and/or roadside service. This position is full time with the possibility of the shift being flexible week to week. Training will be conducted during the daytime, during the week. Applicants can expect 40 hours a week if not more. Weekend hours are 8am-6pm Saturday and Sunday, with a couple of extra days through the week. You must be available to work if someone calls in for being sick, a family emergency, or anything else that may come up.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a dispatcher we need someone who can accurately take calls from law enforcement, insurance, and private customers for towing and/or roadside service. Dispatch drivers to the location with as much information as possible. Give accurate eta's per location. Update customer of driver progress. General cleaning and book keeping will also be performed.
Qualifications and Skills
General knowledge of Central Iowa and major roads and highways. Good customer service skills and ability to assign tasks and follow up on completion. Full time dispatchers must have the ability to deal with multiple phone calls and be able to multitask. Radio etiquette preferred as two way radios are used for communication with fleet drivers. Great computer skills are necessary.
Dispatchers are subject to pre-employment drug screening along with having an acceptable background check.
