Lowbed Driver

Central Construction is a family owned & operated company that has been in business for 100 years. We are looking for experienced & dependable Lowboy drivers to join our growing team! Our success is attributed to our employees. 

Ideal candidate should have:

• at least 2 years exp moving heavy equipment on a Lowboy
• possess a clean class A CDL license.

We are one of the premier lowbed operators in CT. We haul heavy equipment up to 200,000 lbs.

• Job consists of moving construction equipment, including safely loading, unloading and hauling the equipment to its destination throughout CT and New England.
• Must understand overweight routing as most of our loads require overweight permits.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
• Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery.
• Possess an understanding of the operation of various pieces of equipment, sufficient to load/unload from the transport vehicle.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
•  Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Make safety a priority at all times.

Pay: $30.00 per hour or more depending upon experience.
