Description

Shipping / Receiving Clerk

This position is responsible for office/clerical functions related to daily customer order fulfillment activities as well as shipping & receiving clerical functions.

Key Responsibilities

* Clerical: Assist with routing freight, invoicing orders, running reports, answering phones, general office duties.
* Typing: Minimum of 35 WPM.
* Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous focus on housekeeping and safety.
* Interact with supervisors, leads, and/or work groups with information exchanges related to immediate tasks.
* Handle additional tasks necessary to fulfill the needs of the company and the customer as deemed by operations manager.
* Operate powered and manual material handling equipment to load materials.

Experiences/Skills/Education

* Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
* Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication).
* Ability to push, pull, grasp, and fine manipulation of equipment using hands is ongoing
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook.
* Ability to learn our internal report writing software.
* Office experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
* Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.

Working Conditions

* Ability to work a flexible schedule is a plus (start shift early and/or stay until the work is complete).
* Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds regularly.
* Work is performed in a distribution environment.
