Central Garden & Pet - Dog/Cat Segment is Hiring an Inventory Control Manager Near Monroe, NJ
This position will be based out of our Monroe, NJ facility with expected travel to our Neptune City, NJ facility on a as need basis.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Perform, review and reconcile inventory counts. Implement and administer a cycle count program that meets the needs of the business and conforms to audit standards. Oversee annual physical inventories.
- Review and reconcile all inventory discrepancies and compliance, both in manufacturing and warehouse operations. Develop processes and procedures to improve inventory flow/movement and accuracy from receipt through manufacturing to shipment. Create, analyze, and present periodic reports on inventory accuracy to management.
- Responsible for month end reconciliation and analysis of inventory at all outside locations.
- Work cross functionally to identify root causes of inventory differences and implement process improvements in conjunction with warehouse and operations management.
- Manage the disposition of excess inventory.
- Manage inventory and other assigned personnel by setting schedules, monitoring performance and conducting reviews.
- Hire, train, and develop staff.
- Train operations and warehouse personnel on inventory related procedures.
- Work on special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
- Past experience in Inventory Control position including cycle counting.
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of ERP and WMS systems, including use of scanners.
- Ability to understand and analyze inventory transactions.
- Must have strong leadership, motivational and training skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Requires hands-on work in a warehouse environment.
