Central Garden & Pet - Dog/Cat Segment is Hiring an Import Regulatory Coordinator Near Monroe, NJ

The Import Regulatory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with import regulations and coordinating all aspects of the importation process. This role will verify import suppliers' documentation accuracy to ensure compliance and regulations with domestic, international, and our company requirements.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Ensures compliance with domestic and international laws and regulations.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with company and regulations.
  • Verify supplier shipping records, product monitoring, and testing documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Familiar with handling FDA hold alerts and the required corrective action actions for compliance
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and other functions to ensure product compliance with company and regulations.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations including new FSMA requirements, USDA, and customers a plus.
  • Communicate to management potential regulatory changes that can impact the business.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • B.S. or higher degree in business or related field
  • PCQI certification is preferred
  • FVSP certification is preferred
  • Customer entries experience is a plus
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized
  • Accurate recordkeeping keeping & reporting skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills with a well-rounded personality
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, document and interpret documents in English
  • 3 years experience in regulatory position in the food or associated industries
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
