The mental health therapist at our community behavioral health services agency is responsible for providing individual and group therapy to clients with a variety of mental health and behavioral concerns. This role involves developing and implementing therapeutic interventions, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, and promoting the well-being of our clients.

Responsabilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or other modalities, to address clients' emotional and psychological challenges.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical doctors, case managers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to help clients develop coping skills, manage stress, and improve their overall emotional well-being.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in times of emotional distress.
• Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and wellness practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest therapeutic approaches and best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy to clients with a range of mental health concerns.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a willingness to tailor approaches to individual client needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish client rapport and create a safe and trusting therapeutic environment.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and client advocacy.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized documentation in electronic health records systems.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
