Central Data Services, Inc is Hiring a Customer Service Associate - Downtown Pittsburgh Near Pittsburgh, PA

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE JOB SUMMARY: CDS Administrators is looking for an experienced Customer Service Associate to join our growing team! CDS specializes in benefit administration and prioritizes exceptional customer service. We are looking for people who want to further their career and find a place to call home. This position requires attention to detail, and superb communication skills.

This is a full time, direct hire in office role. Working hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm(est) in our Downtown Pittsburgh office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years Benefit Experience Preferred
  • Previous Experience in Customer Service, Call Center or Administrative roles
  • Must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills to make educated sound decisions by utilizing the resources available
  • Must have the ability to manage time throughout day to meet deadlines, while actively addressing client and team requests
  • Proficiency in core MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in role specific software / Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE PAY & PERKS:

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides customer service support to team including answering Participant and/or Employer inquiries, participant research, completing action items as a result of phone inquiry.
  • Review client and participant records to identify discrepancies and communicate the discrepancy with the appropriate party
  • Reconcile participant accounts to ensure accurate billing in conjunction with enrollment which may include generation of refunds or transfer request.
  • Manage electronic enrollment files, data input and extract capabilities Data entry to processes eligibility information including enroll participants, process address changes, new dependents and terminations of coverage. Benefit coordinator will learn COBRA, carrier updates, assigning correspondence to participant or group records, participant communications, claims processing and error reports.
  • Ensures HIPAA regulations are followed. Ensures file transmissions follow encrypted protocols, staff are following guidelines for disclosure of PHI and ePHI, participates in team HIPAA risk assessment and training
