Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
- Must be a multitasker.
- Work Location: Multiple locations/Salinas and Monterey
- Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures.
- Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.
- Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
- Greeting patients and checking them in
- Answering multiline telephone/transfer calls
- Make appointments and verify demographics
- Following up on unpaid patient bills.
- Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.
- Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.
- Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts.
- Updating cash spreadsheets, and running collection reports.
- Taking patient co payments and balance payments
- Punctual and no attendance issues.
- Fast learner and a team player
- A high school diploma
- Health Care Administration preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting
