Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. The Middle School English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive English Language Arts instruction to students. This role encompasses developing tailored lesson plans, employing a variety of teaching strategies, and fostering a dynamic learning environment that reflects Christian values. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of School and play a crucial role in the academic and spiritual development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Excellence: Deliver structured lessons utilizing lectures, multimedia aids, demonstrations, and other methods to enhance student learning and mastery of English Language Arts, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
• Assessment and Reporting: Assign, correct, and evaluate assignments and tests to monitor student progress. Provide detailed reports to parents and administration regarding student performance and progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment, ensuring it is conducive to learning and aligned with our Christian mission. Supervise students within and outside the classroom settings, such as in halls and during school activities.
• Curriculum Development: Prepare lesson plans and objectives in accordance with established curriculum guidelines.
• Parental Engagement: Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences as needed to discuss student achievements and address any academic or behavioral concerns.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in staff meetings, educational opportunities, and teacher training workshops to stay current with educational methods and advancements.
• Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as required, supporting the broader mission and smooth functioning of the school environment.

Key Job Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a relevant field.
• Experience: At least one year of teaching experience in a middle school setting is preferred.
• Certification: Current certification from the State of Georgia, ACSI, or a commitment to achieve certification.
• Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to stand and move for extended periods, with occasional light lifting, up to 20 lbs.
• Spiritual Commitment: A commitment to living and teaching in accordance with Christian principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
