This position is responsible for assisting the Physical Plant Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of keeping the grounds, facilities, and vehicles in the best condition possible.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, and management of all physical facilities, equipment, and infrastructure on campus
• Complete tasks assigned by the Physical Plant Manager, which may include vehicle maintenance, groundskeeping, general cleaning, preventative maintenance, repairs, special projects, etc.
• Provide support for maintenance and grounds workers to ensure that all tasks and preventative maintenance are being completed on schedule.
• Mowing, weed eating, edging, landscaping, etc.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors to execute maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Assist the Physical Plant Manager with management of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building structures
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades or replacements of equipment and infrastructure to improve efficiency, functionality, and safety

Education/Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft office, Google suite, etc.
• Having a general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and vehicle maintenance is beneficial.
• Construction knowledge is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,568.00 per year
