Summary:

Perform a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of designated portions of the body.Observes all regulations concerning radiation protection of patients and staff.Provides age specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric individuals, i.e., tasks necessary for physical care and comfort, supportive tasks and teaching according to standards of care and cultural diversity. Assures confidentiality of patient information departmental, and hospital affairs. Participates in Quality Improvement and practices infection control polices. Triages patients upon entry into the clinical area and works directly with providers to process necessary orders. Is responsible for oversight of the Lab area and maintains required CLIA documentation. Performs necessary blood work as ordered by providers.

Required Education:

Graduate of a Radiologic Technology programrequired

Associate’s degree is preferred

Required Certification:

ARRT Certification in Radiography is required

American Heart Association BLS is required within 30 days of hire
