Central California Alliance for Health is Hiring a Quality Improvement Program Advisor II Near Santa Cruz, CA

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Quality Improvement Program Advisor II in the Quality Improvement and Population Health Department.  This role will require regular in-community travel to meet with Alliance providers. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Quality and Performance Improvement Manager, you will:

  • Support Quality Improvement (QI) and Population Health Department leadership and higher-level Quality Improvement Program Advisors with program administration
  • Conduct quality improvement studies and analyze data to evaluate the Alliance’s performance
  • Analyze, develop and implement quality improvement activities to increase performance against national, state and regional benchmarks and definitions

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Quality Improvement team looks at where there are gaps and pain points in current systems and develops processes to solve them, as well as considers future processes that will increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Comfortable working in grey or ambiguous situations
  • Ability to bring people or workgroups together to achieve shared goals 
  • Experience working in a provider office, clinic or hospital 
  • Comfortable presenting new ideas and collaborating with others 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with process improvement and/or project management
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to different audiences, both internal and external to the organization
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort with having crucial conversations
  • Easily wears multiple hats to get the work done, and enjoys being flexible and adaptable along the way

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of: Principles and practices of QI in a healthcare environment
  • The principles and methods of research methodology, statistical analysis and report design
  • Relational databases and data analysis
  • The principles and practices of project management
  • Windows based PC systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio and PowerPoint

Ability to:

  • Plan, organize and lead data collection activities
  • Resolve complex analytical problems
  • Document, summarize and present statistical and technical data in a clear and understandable manner utilizing a variety of narrative and graphical formats
  • Facilitate and coordinate the work of a workgroup engaged in quality improvement activities
  • Interpret, apply and explain policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and legal and contractual language

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care, Data Science or a related field
  • A minimum of four years of experience performing or supporting quality/process improvement or project management activities, including a minimum of two years of experience performing QI activities in a health care environment (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

OTHER DETAILS

  • While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
  • Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 
The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Merced County & Mariposa County Pay Range: $68,028 - $108,846
Monterey County, San Benito County & Santa Cruz County Pay Range: $74,756 - $119,620
