Central Business Solutions is Hiring a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Near Tucson, AZ

Job Summary:
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (P-SLP), you will play a critical role in providing specialized speech and language therapy services to children with communication challenges. Your expertise and dedication will contribute significantly to improving the communication and social interaction abilities of young patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Pediatric Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the speech, language, and communication skills of children of various age groups. Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to gather information and make accurate diagnoses.
2. Individualized Therapy: Develop personalized therapy plans based on the unique needs and goals of each child. Provide evidence-based intervention to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, expression, social communication, and feeding/swallowing skills.
3. Family Involvement: Collaborate with parents and caregivers to involve them in the therapy process. Provide guidance and strategies for incorporating therapy techniques into daily routines and interactions at home.
4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and document the progress of each child's communication skills. Adjust therapy goals and techniques based on ongoing assessments.
5. Communication Disorders: Address a variety of communication disorders, including speech sound disorders, language delays, developmental language disorders, fluency disorders, and feeding/swallowing difficulties.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, such as educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and medical specialists, to provide comprehensive care and support for children with complex needs.
7. Parent and Staff Education: Offer educational workshops and training for parents, teachers, and other professionals to increase awareness and understanding of communication disorders and strategies for support.
8. Compliance: Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the practice of speech-language pathology.
 
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Specialization or experience in pediatric speech-language pathology is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and their families.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and current trends in pediatric speech-language pathology.
