Central Aroostook Association is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near Presque Isle, ME
This is a full time position that includes providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our residential program. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for helping individuals meet their individualized goals, ensuring their safety, and providing assistance as needed. This position requires someone who is willing to listen to what the individual wants and find creative solutions to meet individual’s needs.
DSPs seek out community resources, including locations and activities, that match the interests of the individuals served and promote participation in an integrated community setting. DSPs assist with skill building in areas such as cooking; communication; self-expression and awareness; exposure to the arts and culture; work readiness; safety at home, work, and in the community; activities of daily living; and personal care and hygiene.

MUST have a high school diploma or the equivalent and a valid State of Maine Driver’s License. Must be able to pass a background check.
